NeighbourhoodsCorsier (GE): a guide to a lakeside commune, between village and harbour
Corsier (GE), a Left Bank commune of village, harbour and countryside: quality of life, access, schools and property as seen by CI-Léman.

Contents
Corsier is a small commune on Geneva's Left Bank, set on the shore of Lake Geneva between Anières and the Hermance area. It keeps a village character, with its countryside, its harbour and a population attached to this calm. For anyone looking to live near the water without settling in town, it is a reference point we know well.
Quality of life
The commune has two parts. There is Corsier-Village, which grew up around its church and has kept its historic scale, and Corsier-Port, facing the lake. The harbour has a landing stage served by CGN boats, and the Corsier-Port pile-dwelling site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is also a boatyard long established on the shore.
Around the built-up areas, farmland occupies a large share of the territory. This presence of the countryside explains Corsier's pace: little through traffic, open views over the fields and the lake, a local life centred on the grocery shop, the cafés and the village associations. It is a commune people come to for space and tranquillity, fifteen minutes by car from the first hubs of the city.
Access and transport
Corsier is reached via the lakeside road, the route that follows the Left Bank from Geneva towards the countryside and the border. By public transport, the commune is served by the TPG network, including line E, which runs along the lakeshore towards Hermance.
Corsier has no Léman Express station within its boundaries. The most useful station for residents is Chêne-Bourg, which gives access to the cross-border rail network and to connections to central Geneva and Annemasse. Many residents drive to a station and then take the train, depending on their daily destination.
Schools and families
The commune has a school complex for the primary years, complemented by a childcare facility for the youngest. The setting suits families well: short distances, a calm environment, the lake and countryside close by for weekend activities. For later schooling and secondary education, families turn to the schools of neighbouring Left Bank communes, which are easy to reach.
Architecture and property
Corsier's built fabric is dominated by villas and detached properties. There are older village houses, villas from recent decades in the residential areas, and a few larger properties benefiting from proximity to the lake or open views over the countryside. Building land is scarce and the commune remains attached to its scale, which limits new construction and gives value to existing properties.
For an owner, this means a market driven by scarcity rather than volume. Each property is handled case by case, according to its location in the village, by the harbour or on the countryside side, and its relationship to the lake.
Our presence in Corsier
Our experience of Corsier is real but measured. We count 5 sales documented by CI-Léman in Corsier since 2006, out of the 575 we have handled in the canton. It is a small volume, and we present it as it is: the commune sees few transactions, and each one counts. This knowledge of the ground, the areas and the buyers drawn to this kind of setting helps us give accurate advice, without overpromising.
If you own a property in Corsier or in the neighbouring Left Bank communes and would like to know its value, our support to help you sell sets out each step. If you are looking to settle in this lakeside area, our properties and buyer support are set out on the page for those looking to buy.
