A Geneva commune detached from the rest of the canton, surrounded by the canton of Vaud, on the lakeshore north of Geneva.
Céligny has a rare distinction: it is a Geneva enclave, entirely surrounded by the canton of Vaud, about eighteen kilometres north of the city of Geneva. The commune consists of two separate parts, the main one opening onto Lake Geneva, the second smaller one with the hamlets of La Petite Coudre and La Grande Coudre. Long a wine-growing commune, it has become mainly residential over the decades, while keeping the character of a lakeside village. Calm, access to the lake and a position away from major roads define its identity. The building stock mixes village houses, historic properties and villas. Estates and residences with grounds sit alongside a more conventional residential fabric. Properties rarely change hands in this narrow market, where detailed knowledge of individual plots matters.
Lakeshore, countryside and vineyards, the Château de Garengo and the Maison de l'Élysée, a secluded position between Nyon and Versoix: Céligny cultivates a discreet residential life by the water.
No public listing in Céligny at the moment. Some of the properties sold here never go through the portals: they change hands privately, with complete discretion.

The building stock combines village houses, historic properties with grounds and villas. The market is narrow and properties rarely change hands, so each property is valued on its own comparables, its plot and its relationship to the lake.
