A municipality in the Geneva countryside, between fields, vineyards and the Rhône, for an unhurried pace without leaving the canton.
Avully is a rural municipality in the south-west of the canton, on the left bank of the Rhône. It belongs to the Champagne genevoise, the group of villages that lines the river and forms one of the most rural areas of the canton. Nearly 70% of its territory, around 459 hectares, consists of farming and wine estates. The Rhône borders it to the north and west, and hamlets such as Epeisses extend the village towards the river. People come here for calm and open horizons. The housing stock reflects this rural history: an old village core, farms and country houses, around which more recent villa districts have grown. Family homes play an important role, alongside a few modest apartment buildings.
Country lanes between cultivated fields, vineyards, the hamlet of Epeisses facing the Rhône: Avully offers the space and calm of a garden, while keeping a link with Geneva by public transport.

Avully mainly offers detached houses, with a few modest apartment buildings. Farmland and vineyards frame the built-up area and limit density, which gives family homes an important place.
Several TPG bus lines serve the municipality, and La Plaine station, in Dardagny, gives access to the Léman Express towards Geneva. An on-demand bus service, tpg flex, completes the offer in this sparsely populated area.
