A rural municipality in the south-west of the canton, made up of the villages of Avusy, Sézegnin and Athenaz, on the French border and in the countryside of the Champagne genevoise.
Avusy occupies the south-western tip of the canton of Geneva, on the Left Bank, right against the border with Haute-Savoie. The municipality brings together three villages, Avusy, Sézegnin and Athenaz, and is part of the Champagne genevoise, the group of farming villages bordering the Rhône. The land is overwhelmingly agricultural: two thirds of the area is cultivated, and the built-up zone remains modest. People come here for calm, space and a horizon of fields, a few minutes from the neighbouring municipalities of Avully, Chancy and Laconnex. The building stock consists of old village cores, farms and country houses, around which more recent villa areas have been added. Detached houses dominate, and building plots remain scarce, which makes each sale relatively unique.
Country lanes between the fields, community life shared across the three villages, immediate proximity to neighbouring France: Avusy offers the calm of a rural setting without leaving the canton.

Avusy brings together three villages: Avusy, Sézegnin and Athenaz. The municipality belongs to the Champagne genevoise, in the south-west of the canton, and retains a primarily rural and agricultural character.
The market is dominated by detached houses, with old village cores and more recent villa areas. Farmland frames the built-up area and limits the number of available plots, which makes transactions infrequent.
