An old village set on a hill south-west of Geneva, combining old streets around the church with more recent developments.
Confignon owes its personality to its old village set on a hill, south-west of the city of Geneva. The municipality covers around 2.77 km² and borders Onex, Bernex, Perly-Certoux and Plan-les-Ouates, combining old streets around the church with more recent developments. The historic centre retains its wine-growing character, and the church of Saints-Pierre-et-Paul, recorded as early as the twelfth century, remains a landmark of the Left Bank. The population has grown strongly over two decades, driven mainly by the development of the Cressy area. This dual identity is reflected in the properties on offer in each area. We know these particularities, from the hilltop village to the more recent developments, which helps to pinpoint the real value of a property.
Lanes of the old village around the church of Saints-Pierre-et-Paul, vineyards and open spaces, footpaths: Confignon keeps a rural breathing space that few municipalities this close to the centre manage to preserve.

TPG buses serve the neighbouring municipalities and the centre. Tram line 15 has been extended towards Lancy and Plan-les-Ouates, with a stop planned near Les Cherpines, and the municipality remains close to the main roads of the Left Bank and the motorway.
