A small Left Bank commune in the east of the canton, on the French border, combining village life, countryside and proximity to Thônex and the Trois-Chêne.
Puplinge is a small commune on Geneva's Left Bank, in the east of the canton, against the French border. It neighbours Thônex, Choulex and Presinge, as well as the French communes of Ville-la-Grand and Annemasse. Despite its small size, the commune keeps a largely rural character: farmland covers most of the territory, and housing is concentrated around the village. The proximity of the Trois-Chêne and the border puts the services of a more urban area within immediate reach. The building stock mixes village houses, detached villas and a few apartment buildings. The commune has seen recent growth that brought new housing, while keeping its village scale. Family homes hold an important place.
A village core, fields behind, the Puplinge Classique festival and community life, Thônex and the border right next door: Puplinge combines village calm with services close at hand.
